Hypnotic birth is a procedure that may be used during the labor and delivery process. The process helps the woman cope with stress.

Often, childbirth is perceived as extremely painful and unbearable by most women. The pregnancy stages cause a lot of worry and fear among new moms. It doesn’t have to be that way. Your body can be ready for a natural birth.

A growing number of women are opting for home births. The increase in babies being born through medical intervention is partly responsible for the surge in babies being born. Hypnotic delivery can be fun.

How does the process of Hypnotic Birth work?

This process uses various methods to prepare you for childbirth. A hypnotherapist or hypnotist can help you relax mentally while remaining calm. During the session, you will be aware of what is happening around you and to you, as opposed to the popular belief that you will lose awareness. You and your therapist can decide which method of hypnosis is best for you. Some of the specialized techniques involved in hypnotic birth include-

Visualization

In this method, you will be trained or suggested by the therapist to focus on things that give you a pleasant experience upon imagining them. This frees your mind from the pain and fear and leaves you with a beautiful experience.

Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy

CBH is a proven, modern approach to making your birthing experience less distressing. This method helps analyze and understand your fears and where they stem from. CBH helps you manage anxiety triggers and clear your mind of fear. You will have positive thoughts in your mind.

Meditation

It is helpful to learn breathing techniques. This helps keep unwanted thoughts of pain and fear away.

Eyes-open hypnotic birth method

In this process, you will be communicating through your eyes. A hypnotist may help you focus on what is really happening during childbirth. You will have complete control over moving around or talking with others as a way of encouraging them.

You should know that you can use the hypnotic birth method in combination with the alternative birth process as well. The techniques will help keep you relaxed and in control throughout the process.
