The risks of getting tattooed during pregnancy:

Infection is the major concern that you should look for while getting a tattoo during pregnancy. Getting tattooed can keep you at major risk of infections like HIV and Hepatitis B. Even the risk is smaller; it is suggested to wait until the birth of your baby.

Yes… I know, you are very much interested to know about the safety of the dyes used in tattoo ink. Getting a tattoo during the first trimester can even put your baby at higher risk. The risks are unknown, as it is not yet clear about how the tattoo affects your developing baby.

Even though the risk of infection is too small, you could transmit the infection to your baby if you are breastfeeding. So, the decision is completely yours, but it is recommended to wait until your child birth.
