Every woman experiences many symptoms during pregnancy, both emotionally and physically. Usually, women don’t experience any physical changes during the first trimester. There might be some minor changes like bloating, tender breasts, etc.

But, as the pregnancy advances, your body goes through many changes. Your body stretches to its maximum potential to prepare you for the delivery.

Because of these changes, you may experience some symptoms which may discomfort you.

Here are some of the late symptoms of pregnancy listed below.

Backaches

As your body weight increases and your belly bump has grown so much, it puts pressure on your back. Back Pain is one of the common discomforts pregnant women experience.

Many hormones get released by your body to support the pregnancy. Some of these hormones soften the connective tissue between the bones. This tendency happens, especially in the pelvic area. It is also one of the main reasons for backaches during the last trimester.

Heartburn

As the belly bump grows to accommodate the growing baby, the center of mass of your body will also shift. So, your ability to do certain things changes.

The stomach acid flows back into your food pipe when you bend, causing a burning sensation. It is also known as heartburn.

Pregnancy hormones also play a role in relaxing the valve between the stomach and the food pipe. It causes food reflux resulting in heartburn.

Frequent urination Symptoms during Pregnancy

As the pregnancy progresses, the baby’s position in the uterus also changes. With time, the head comes to the bottom and moves deeper into the pelvis.

It creates pressure on your bladder, causing urgent urination. Sometimes you may also experience leakage of urine or amniotic fluid. If you face amniotic leakage, you should consult a doctor.

Gestational diabetes

It is a type of diabetes that occurs only during pregnancy. It is a condition in which a woman’s blood sugar level rises due to insufficient insulin. The placenta (connecting the mother and the baby) also releases hormones in the last trimester. These hormones counteract the action of insulin on your body. As a result, your blood sugar levels rise, causing gestational diabetes.

Anemia

Anemia is also known as iron deficiency. This occurs in people who don’t have enough red blood cells to transport oxygen to their tissues. If you experience this, consult your healthcare provider.

Group B strep

It is a type of bacteria present in your vagina or rectum. If you have this bacteria, this can affect your baby during birth. So, your health care providers will provide some antibiotics during the labor.

Braxton hicks contractions symptoms during pregnancy

You may experience your baby’s movements during the later stages of pregnancy. Baxton hicks contractions are mild and irregular contractions that result in slight tightness in your abdomen.

These contractions become stronger as you approach your due date. Consult your health care provider if these occur more often and are stronger. symptoms of pregnancy
