Infertility is not just a woman’s concern, men too suffer from infertility. Among all the infertility cases, one-third of the cases are caused by a male factor. There are several factors that can trigger male infertility, such as hormonal imbalances, poor mobility, and weak sperm. So, every man needs to take great care to ensure that he is producing good quality and quantity of sperm required to improve the chance of conception success.

Using male fertility supplements is a great method among all the methods to improve fertility. Male fertility supplements can be used to improve the most common reasons for infertility, for example, low sperm count decreased libido, and poor sperm quality.

The most important nutrients that most infertile men are lack of include: vitamin C and E, zinc, amino acid, selenium, and ginseng. For several reasons, selenium and zinc are the most essential male fertility supplements, such as:

  • Zinc is useful in the production of semen and increases the seminal fluid. Proper zinc levels can directly affect sperm density, which in turn affects positive sperm cell development. In most cases, infertile men have low levels of seminal zinc.
  • Selenium helps with motility of the sperm, which is essential for successful navigation of sperm through female reproductive tract.

Male Fertility Supplements

Usually, fertilization depends on the ability of the sperm to pass safely through a woman’s cervix, fallopian tubes, and uterus. Also, male fertility supplements should contain sufficient levels of vitamin A and E. Low levels of vitamin C in the body can trigger oxidation damage to the sperm DNA. On the other hand, most studies proved that any infertile man when supplemented with vitamin C for one week can show an increase in sperm count by 140%.

Similar to the selenium supplements, vitamin E and amino acids can improve the sperm count and motility. Using these supplements for the duration of 3-6 months can greatly affect the factors that trigger male infertility. Another amino acid named carnitine is also essential for healthy development of sperm and its morphology.

Also, herbs like ginseng are helpful when included in the male fertility supplements. It has proved that ginseng can enhance the sexual desire in women and men. It shows a positive impact on sperm motility and also count and aids in the production of testosterone hormone.

Apart from these male fertility supplements, men should adopt a healthy lifestyle and food choices, like consuming nutrient-rich foods and low-fat foods. When you take the supplements along with a healthy diet regimen and regular exercise, it will show a more positive effect on your fertility.
