Nine months pregnant signs

Your abdomen continues to grow, along with the growing baby and your mobility may be affected because of your bigger size and loss of body balance . Most symptoms you’ve experienced already are likely to follow into your ninth month as well.

What are the Signs of Being Nine Months Pregnant? from Pregnancy Week By Week Calendar

Back Pain

  •  As the belly keeps expanding forwards, it creates a slight gap in your lower back, thereby adding pressure and pain.
  • You may be used to this by now, otherwise cold packs or warm compression may help find relief.

Sleeplessness

  • Sleep continues to evade you, even when you are exhausted by the end of the day.
  • Aching and pulling sensation in legs increases.
  • Try using a pillow under your knees for support and continue to sleep on your left, even though it’s discomforting.

Braxton Hicks contractions

  • You may have had some breathing practice with these practice pains by now.
  • These false labor contractions can cause real pain and keep getting stronger as you’re nearing your full term.

Varicose veins

  • The expanding uterus compresses the inferior vena cava, which is the vein responsible for carrying back blood to the heart and this pressure may cause blood to pool in the veins, resulting in varicose veins.
  • These appear swollen and may be very uncomfortable.

Pelvic Pressure

  • The baby moves down lower into your pelvis around this time, to be ready for delivery. This may cause discomforting pressure in your pelvic region and hips.
  • This finally takes off pressure from your lungs and you will find relief from breathlessness and heartburn.

Frequent urination

  • The growing uterus continues to add pressure on the urinary bladder and you will experience the urge to urinate frequently.

Energy bursts

  • You may be tired all the time, but you will find yourself with sudden energy bursts around this time, as your mind goes into nesting mode.

You may use this energy to make all the necessary preparations and getting your work done. Ensure not to overdo it and take enough rest.
