Being a mom is a fantastic feeling; it all starts with pregnancy. Consumption of certain fruits in pregnancy can result in miscarriage. With a sense of anxiety mixed with joy and stress, a mom-to-be goes through a lot to bring a life into this world.

Right from the first-trimester pregnant mother requires good care. And eating healthy and staying fit is one of the essential things during pregnancy. Moreover, one needs to maintain a balanced nutritious diet which will be very helpful for fetus growth. The first two trimesters are very important, as negligence in eating can lead to miscarriage.

This may sound strange, but eating certain fruits can lead to miscarriage. Though eating fruits is healthy for the mother and baby, it will not apply to all fruits. Some fruits can cause harm to both mother and baby.

Which Fruits Avoid in pregnancy that may Trigger Miscarriage?

We all know that fruits contain numerous health benefits and play a vital role in our healthy life. But during pregnancy, everything will not be the same, especially for pregnant women who must be careful until six months. However, aside from fruits, other factors like working, traveling, age, and health of the woman will impact their pregnancy.

Fruits like papaya, pineapple, peach, and wild apples are often advised to avoid pregnancy. These fruits can cause dilation of the cervix and lead to inner contractions in the uterus, which ultimately causes a miscarriage. Hence, they are suggested not to add to the diet if you are pregnant.

Papaya

Earlier, papaya had been used to abort an unwanted pregnancy. If you are pregnant, don’t eat unripe papayas and green papayas, as they contain latex substance, which creates a contraction in the uterus and leads to miscarriage.

To avoid heat-related complications, grapes should be avoided completely during the last trimester of pregnancy and can be consumed in moderation during the first and second trimesters. Pregnant women are suggested not to eat the food that generates heat in the body. And this fruit comes under this category. That is not safe for both mom and babies health.

Wild apple fruits in pregnancy

If you are pregnant, you should avoid eating wild apples because they contain acidic and sour properties, which can cause contractions of the uterus and may lead to miscarriage.
