Pregnancy Test

Pregnancy tests are a type of test to find out whether a woman is pregnant. They usually work by detecting the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in the urine.

There are two types of pregnancy tests: home pregnancy tests and laboratory pregnancy tests. Home pregnancy tests can be bought at any drug store or supermarket, and they can be used at home to check for HCG hormone levels in urine. Laboratory pregnancy tests need to be carried out on samples taken by a doctor or midwife in a clinic or hospital, and they tend to use blood rather than urine for testing.

There are many different brands of home pregnancy test kits available, with each one having its own way of working. Some will produce results as soon as you place them into your urine stream
